In other news, it has come up in a discussion on Batoto that a chapter of this manhua has been "ripped off" from a Japanese manga. In particular, the similarity between Chapter 5 and this manga by Itou Junji is striking. However, if you look closely at the title page of that Collapse chapter, you will see an untranslated line that reads 原作：伊藤潤二 which means "Original work: Itou Junji". Thus, while I don't know what the legal status of this chapter is, since it is properly attributed, it isn't plagiarism.

Also, I don't want to hear any comments about how that line should have been translated. Scanlators typically don't waste effort translating and typesetting lines that leechers won't read anyway -- and you know you wouldn't have even looked at it if it didn't come up in a discussion like this.
